Project summary
Iluka required a new Carbon Product Handling Facility which consisted of a product transfer conveyor, storage bins and support structure and material load out system. We were engaged to provide the complete civil, structural, mechanical and piping design and drafting, including the site survey and geotechnical investigation required to ensure a compliant design.
Project Achievements
Our Team developed the project from feasibility and conceptual design through to delivery of the fill detailed design package. Our expertise in structural and mechanical design of materials handling facilities proved invaluable in providing a robust and efficient solution for the facility. We worked closely with Iluka to provide a design that met all operational requirements including material throughput, mass flow, efficient load out and vehicle movement. Our multi-disciplined team of engineers ensured that the provided design was fit for purpose and in accordance with all relevant standards and specifications. The Team provided staged delivery of design deliverables in response to Iluka’s extremely tight project schedule. The new facility has been successfully commissioned, without issue.
